A Living and Growing Crystal Stone

Malaysian calcite crystal stone or known as batu bunga in Malay language is a ‘living’ stone as its crystal can grows in which ones must spray it with water at least once a week. This is a type of Calcite stone due to its main composition of CaCo3 (calcium carbonate) in the most stable form of polymorph (material that can form more than one type of crystallization structure) with a hardness 3 on the Mohs scales.
